Nico Marienfeld participates in PhD tax course at NHH, Bergen

From August 19th to 23rd, 2024, Nico Marienfeld attended the PhD course "The Real and Reporting Effects of Business Taxation" taught by Rebecca Lester from Stanford Graduate School of Business at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen. Around 20 international PhD students gathered to Bergen for an intensive week around the topic of how corporate taxation impacts business decisions, both real and reporting ones. Eight sessions in which the students got to know the latest research on the topic of investment and employment response to taxation, the effects of reporting incentives and tax policies, disclosure regimes, cross-border income shifting, and the real and reporting effects of climate policies. In addition to the academic program, various social activities were organized, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the culture of Bergen and experience university life to the fullest.
